Viper Hood 2.0 – Gen5

Introducing the Xero Composites (pronounced zero) Viper Hood 2.0. This year we made significant changes to the Viper Hood to further reduce the weight of the hood, increase performance, and make install easier. Arguably the biggest upgrade is an industry first (for Skidoo) cold air intake that pulls cold air straight into the factory turbo ducting to lower your charge temps and facilitate smoother, laminar flow for better throttle response. The intake was designed specifically for deep snow performance and placed in a location with the least amount of snow build-up possible. Say goodbye to constantly wiping your dash vents on those deep days. Speaking of deep snow, we added an integrated, under-hood pop-off valve just in case snow piles up on top of the hood. The valve has it’s own Frogzskin vent to help pull cold air in from the side of the hood and let warm air out when it’s not in use. To reduce weight, we integrated the exhaust vent into the hood, and eliminated the need for the factory intakes and plastic trim pieces. The gauge is now mounted under the hood to help protect it and make installation extremely easy. With the new gauge mount, there is more room under the hood to mount accessories like the GPS module, etc. All of those changes have led to a full pound of weight savings over the first version of the hood.

This hood is still the lightest, strongest, and only carbon fiber hood for the Skidoo Gen5 snowmobile platform. The Viper hood is still a hand-laid, full carbon fiber product made in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. Storage

You asked, we listened. Storage is now available with the redesign. It’s a separate option on the main shop page, be sure to add it to your order if you want to enjoy the luxury of warm gloves and goggles throughout the day.

Lighting

We are also finalizing a new integrated light from a trusted industry supplier for the 2026/2027 season. If you want a light, be sure to add a note to your order. We will hold your hood, and when we receive the lights, we will install and then ship your hood.

Pre-Order

This is a Pre-Order product, and will be made to order. Hoods will ship as they are completed in the order received. Frogzskins intake covers have been delayed and will ship separately as soon as they arrive from the manufacturer.
